Thank you for your email dated 16 July 2025 to Te Tūāpapa Kura Kāinga – Ministry of Housing 
and Urban Development (the Ministry) requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Can you please provide me with a list of all payments made by the Ministry of 
Housing and Urban Development and its subsidiaries to the UN and its subsidiaries 
over the last 10 years. This can be in summary format 
 
I am refusing your request under section 18(g)(i) of the Act on the grounds that the information 
requested is not held by the Ministry and we have no grounds for believing that the information is 
held by another department or Minister of the Crown. 
 
The Ministry has not paid any monies to the United Nations or any of the subsidiary bodies of the 
General Assembly. For the avoidance of doubt, this includes: 
 
•  United Nations Disarmament Commission 
•  International Law Commission 
•  Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People 
•  Special Committee on Peacekeeping Operations 
•  Special Committee on Decolonization 
•  Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions 
•  Committee for Programme and Coordination 
•  Independent Audit Advisory Committee. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review of my response by the Ombudsman, in 
accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found on the Ombudsman’s 
website at: www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
