Thank you for your email dated 11 July 2025 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the 
Council) requesting, in summary, the following information: 
 
Please provide any and all information City Council holds about Andy Foster (ex Mayor) about his 
involvement in City Council affairs, and with City Council departments since he competed his tenure 
as Mayor. 
 
By "information" we mean emails, positions held, any committee representations, expert witness, 

traffic and / or infrastructure expertise, official City Council meeting attendance, any requests and / or 
recommendations made by him directly or indirectly (through a person representing him). To narrow 
the scope, we want information specifically related to or involving Hawkins Hil  Road, Wellington 
Natural Heritage Trust, Long Gully Bush Reserve, and Zealandia... 
 
Can you confirm if Andy is involved in any of these projects with Wellington City Council (specifically 

in the Wrights Hil /Zealandia/Careys Gully/Long Gul y/Te Kopahou areas; and if so, please list the 
name of the project, whether it is existing or future, and his involvement and whether that project has 
received any Wel ington City Council funding, and value it received. We are only looking for 
data/information from October 2022 until July 2025 please (which is since his Mayoral tenure ended 
and he became an MP). 
 
 
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA).

Hearing Stream 7 - Notice of Hearing, within this submission the fol owing topics in scope of your 
request were referenced:

Outside of this submission, a thorough IT search was undertaken within the Council’s systems, and I 
can confirm no other information was found in scope of your request. Therefore, your request is 
refused under section 17(d) of the LGOIMA as the requested information is publicly available.

investigation and review of the Council’s decision to withhold information by the Ombudsman.
