Request for Information 
 
I refer to your email dated 14 July 2025 requesting information on the level of subsidy 
provided for each Public Transport Operating Model (PTOM) unit within Canterbury’s 
public  transport  services  (bus,  train,  and  ferry).  You  have  asked  for  this  data to  be 
broken  down  by  year,  covering  all  years  for  which  such  information  is  available. 
Specifically, you are seeking the following details for each PTOM unit by month:   
 
1)  The fare revenue  
2)  The patronage data 
3)  Subsidy amounts 
4)  The commerciality ratio 
 
Please find the requested data in the attached spreadsheet. 
 
You wil  be aware that if you are not satisfied with this  response, you can refer this 
matter to the Office of the Ombudsman under s27 (3) of the Local Government Official 
Information and Meetings Act 1987.
