This letter follows on from the response we provided to you on 1 Hereturikōkā 2025, regarding 
your request of 8 Hōngongoi 2025. 
 
You asked for the following information:  
 
“The Waitangi Tribunal Review has sent to Government Departments a series of 
questions seeking their views on the Waitangi Tribunal. 
 
Please provide me with a copy of these questions, and the list of Departments that 
the reviewers have sought feedback from.” 
 
Your request was declined at that time under section 18(d) of the Official Information Act 
1982 (Act), on the grounds that the information requested would soon be publicly available. 
Unfortunately, that information has not yet been publicly released, as previously anticipated, 
and for that I extend my apologies. 
 
Your request has therefore been reconsidered in accordance with the Act. 
 
We stil  anticipate the requested information to be released publicly in due course; however, 
we now attach in full the information you have requested.  
 
Three documents have been identified as in scope of your request; and combined into one 
PDF – attached. The three documents and my decisions with regards to their release is set 
out in a table at Appendix A. For clarity, please note that the review asked questions about 
the Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 and not about the Waitangi Tribunal. 
 
My apologies for the delay in providing this information to you. I trust this response satisfies 
your request.
