Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) 08 July 2025 to 
the Minister of Health, Hon Simeon Brown. The Minister is focused on putting patients first 
and delivering access to timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. 
 
Please find each part of your request addressed below. 
 
"Can you please release any advice (including briefings, emails, or other updates) 
you have received about Wellington hospital turning a maternity ward (and another 
ward) into Emergency Department overflow.  
 
I am interpreting your request as formal advice received by the Minister of Health. Searches 
of our information systems have not identified any information in scope of your request. 
Accordingly, section 18(e) of the Act applies, as the information requested does not exist or, 
despite reasonable efforts, cannot be found. 
 
Can you also release any correspondence you or your office has sent or received to 
or from the Wright Foundation (or their representatives) since becoming Minister of 
Health."
