[FYI request #31491 email]
Dear John
Official Information Act 1982 request
I refer to your official information request to Education New Zealand (ENZ) dated 19 June
2025 seeking information as below:
May I ask how you called for public nomination for this appointment round and on
what platform you have call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. A copy of
your ad as wel . Also, how many applications you have received from the public and
how many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or
Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you have shortlisted and how many
you have interviewed. Also, can I request to view the appointment letter if there is one
sent to the appointee.
I am happy for you to remove all the personal information. Also, may I request the pay
rate for the role?
I also want to acknowledge your email on 9 August 2025 asking why we had not responded
to your request. In response this query, ENZ discovered that your email had been diverted to
the “Junk” folder, rather than the “Inbox”.
Unfortunately, the information you requested is not held by ENZ. We are therefore refusing
your request under section 18(e) of the OIA. Due to the timeframes involved, ENZ is unable
to seek to transfer your request to the Ministry of Education who is likely to hold this
information. You can request the information from the Ministry vi
a [email address].
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
Information about how to make a complaint is available at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
If you want to discuss this decision with us, please feel free to contact me at
