Request made under the Official Information Act 1982 
 
Thank you for your email of 3 July 2025 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Please supply a Raod Maintance plan for SH3 Wangauni to Urenui and SH3A for roading 
resealing and pot hole permanent repairs 
 
We have interpreted your request as referring to the section of State Highway 3 (SH3) between 
Whanganui, Hawera and Inglewood, via State Highway 3A (SH3A) between Inglewood and Sentry 
Hill, and the section of SH3 from Sentry Hill to Urenui. 
 
The fol owing documents, that contain information about planned works for the Taranaki region during 
the 2025-26 sealing programme summer season, are enclosed: 
 
•  Attachment 1 – Preseal and Pothole Programme – 1 10 2025-27 02 2026 (spreadsheet) 
•  Attachment 2 – SH3 Whanganui to Urenui, and SH3A – 2025-2026 (spreadsheet). 
 
The fol owing document contains planned maintenance work for the Manawatu-Whanganui region 
from 13 July 2025 onwards: 
 
•  Attachment 3 – Manawatu-Whanganui SH3 boundary, SD4 RBD – pavement + surfacing as at 9 
Jul 2025 (spreadsheet). 
 
It is important to note that these documents list indicative sites only which are yet to be confirmed for 
the 2025-26 summer season and are subject to change due to network need, funding confirmation 
and treatment selection. 
 
In line with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) policy, this response wil  soon be published on
