Your Official Information Act request, reference: GOV-041186
Thank you for your request of 1 July 2025, asking for the following information under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act):
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) relating to the
travel undertaken by Michael Frampton, as referenced in your recent response to OIA request
GOV-039452 - Senior Leader Travel.
Specifically, I request the fol owing:
1. The location (i.e. origin and destination city) of every return flight undertaken by Michael
Frampton that is included in the referenced OIA response.
2. Please separate the travel into two periods:
When Mr Frampton was DCE People and Culture
When Mr Frampton was DCE Service Delivery
Our response
Michael Frampton was DCE People & Culture from 26 April 2022 until 1 September 2024 and has been
DCE Service Delivery since 2 September 2024.
As DCE Service Delivery, Mr Frampton is responsible for leading front-line teams based at 27 sites
across the country. Previously, as DCE People & Culture, Michael had responsibilities relating to ACC’s
entire nationally based workforce of ~4,500 staff. As part of these roles, Michael is required to regularly
travel to engage with ACC’s employees, particularly given our focus on improving rehabilitation
performance and the role of our workforce in delivering this.
Mr Frampton’s home office location is Auckland. As the data shows, as a member of the Executive
team, Mr Frampton is required to regularly travel to Wellington, the location of ACC’s corporate head
office.
The table at the end of this letter provides the origin and destination city of every flight. The flight count
in this response differs from that provided in GOV-039452 as each leg of the journey is counted
separately. For example, in the original response (GOV-039452), some return tickets were counted as
one flight but consisted of two segments – one for each leg of the journey.

Details pertaining to any international travel are reported in the ACC Annual Review, which is published
annually on the Parliament website.
