Dear Michael
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request, received on 25 June
2025. You requested the following:
Estate Private no.1052 unique identifier letters of administration acting under the
rules 426H,397,517,531(c),531(b),531(M) of the codes of civil procedures of the
New Zealand insurance company no.1 I Michael Peti Succeeded to my
grandfather in 2002 Kaupapa 1993 100(2)e Samuel Hami Peti aka Samuel Peti
address] with letters of administration of the estate of the deceased who died 2nd
April 1969 intestate claim intestacy involved in a legal matter concerning the
jurisdiction of the Hamilton Registrar.
The case involves Rule 426H of the Code, which was inserted by rule 3 of the
Supreme Court Amendment Rules (No. 2) 1954.
Events:
Rule 426H has been amended.
The amendment involves inserting the word "Hamilton" after the word "Auckland"
in subclause (1)
Additional jurisdiction of Hamilton Registrar-Rule 426H of the Code (as inserted
by rule 3 of the Supreme Court Amendment Rules (No. 2) 1954*) is hereby
amended by inserting in subclause (1), after the word "Auckland", the word
"Hamilton
The amendment to Rule 426H of the Code, introduced by Rule 3 of the Supreme
Court Amendment Rules (No. 2) 1954, involves adding the word "Hamilton" after
"Auckland" in subclause (1). This change means that the jurisdiction previously
held by the Auckland Registrar now also applies to the Hamilton Registrar. This
could impact where certain legal actions can be initiated or handled, potentially
offering more convenience or options for parties involved in legal proceedings
