Extension of time for request for information 2025-200 
I refer to your request for information dated 27 June 2025, which was received by Greater 
Wellington Regional Council (Greater Wellington) on 27 June 2025. 
Greater Wellington considers it necessary to extend the timeframe to advise you of our decision 
on your request, to 15 August 2025. 
This decision is made pursuant to section 14 of the Local Government Official Information and 
Meetings Act 1987 on the basis that your request necessitates a search through a large quantity 
of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably interfere with our 
operations. Consultations with KiwiRail and Transdev are also necessary to make a decision on 
your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original 
time limit. 
If you have any concerns with the decision(s) referred to in this letter, you have the right to 
request an investigation and review by the Ombudsman under section 27(3) of the Local 
Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987.
