I am writing in response to your Official Information Act request, which we received on 8 July
2025.
Your request was as follows:
Instant Kiwi games in-store sales and release data.
I would like to know what Instant Kiwi games in-store release dates were as of 6 July 2025.
Is there any way to see total tickets sold or total tickets left for Instant Kiwi games in-store as of
6 July 2025. The time period I would like to see total tickets sold would be different for each
instant kiwi game. Essentially, I would require the total tickets sold since inception of each
game to 6 July 2025.
I would like to know the total current prize pool of each Instant Kiwi game in-store that is left.
The time period would be from the inception of the game to 6 July 2025.

I would like to know the total current prize pool of each Instant Kiwi game in-store that is
left. The time period would be from the inception of the game to 6 July 2025.
While we’re able to disclose the number of tickets we have sold for a game, we do not have
visibility of the value of the prizes that remain on sale in stores. This information is held securely
to preserve the integrity of this lottery game and cannot be accessed by Lotto NZ staff or
disclosed publicly. Therefore, we’re unable to provide the information you’ve requested under
clauses 9(2)(b)(i) and 9(2)(k) of the Official Information Act 1982.
