Thank you for your request for information from Council. Al requests to the Council for information are
required to be considered in accordance with the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act
1987 (LGOIMA). More information about how the Council handles LGOIMA requests can be found in the

Your request for information was received on 25 June 2025 and related to Rangitīkei District Council’s
destination management plan. Our response is below:
1. How much was paid to TRC Tourism Limited to produce the Destination Management Plan (March
2022)?
Response:
$54,109.81 (excl GST).

3. What additional costs were incurred in producing the Plan, i.e staff time, koha, photography for
example?
Response:
Staff time is not broken down into tasks, but staff were involved in some of the various workshops
with stakeholders, which included Iwi, eat/stay/do operators, business associations, retail and
hospitality, elected members etc. Staff also attended meetings with the Advisory Group. Photos
were used from Council’s existing photo library. Council printed approximately 20 copies of the
document at a cost of $2.50 each = $50.
4. What has been the total amount paid to TRC Tourism in the last 5 years?
Response:
$54,109.81 (excl GST) which was the total cost of the Destination Management Plan.
5. Please provide a link to the 'Social Pinpoint" data stated on page 14 of the Management Plan?
Response:
The data was held by TRC Tourism Ltd on their Social Pinpoint account -
https://trc.mysocialpinpoint.com.au/rangitikei-destination-management-plan/ideas#/ The link
contains the feedback received. Feedback was available to the public during consultation but was
removed from our Visit Rangitīkei website once the consultation closed. Consultation period was 8
September 2021 – 1 October 2021.
