Your Excellency 
DEPUTY PRIVATE SECURITY PERSONNEL LICENSING AUTHORITY 
I attach documents for the appointment of s9(2)(a)
as Deputy Private Security 
Personnel Licensing Authority for a term of three years. 
The Private Security Personnel and Private Investigators Act 2010 (the Act) established 
the Private Security Personnel Licensing Authority.   
The functions of the Authority are to: 
 consider applications for licenses and certificates of approval and the issue of licenses
and certificates of approval for certain categories of people working in the security and
INFORMATION 
private investigator industries
 discipline licensees and certificate holders when required
 keep the register of licensees and certificate holders.
Section 91(1) of the Act provides that the Governor-General may, on the recommendation 
of the responsible Minister, appoint a person to be a Deputy Authority.  Minister of Justice, 
Hon Kris Faafoi, has delegated this appointment to me.
