Thank you for your request via FYI of 17 June 2025 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation
and Employment (MBIE) requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
following information:
What submissions were received by the Minister, or MBIE, from private or NGO sector health
providers, on pay equity, since 2020?
MBIE has interpreted ‘submissions’ in its commonly understood context to mean formal
written representations made in response to a consultation process, rather than general
correspondence or informal feedback. If this interpretation does not align with the intent of
your request, MBIE invites you to submit a new request under the Act.
MBIE, nor the Minister for Workplace Relations, Hon Brooke van Velden hold any
submissions from private or NGO sector health providers related to the Equal Pay Act 1972
or the 2025 Equal Pay Amendment Act. Therefore, I am refusing your request under section
18(e) of the Act, as the document(s) alleged to contain the information requested does not
exist.
