Response to your request for official information 
Thank you for your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) to the Ministry 
of Health – Manatū Hauora (the Ministry) on 12 June 2025 for: 
“Please provide copies of all Pfizer Vaccine studies and Pfizer Vaccine trials that relate to 
the  efficacy of the vaccine in reducing the transmission of Covid-19 in the community.” 

The clinical trials conducted by Pfizer did not study the effect of any vaccine on transmission of 
COVID-19 in the community. As such your request is refused under section 18(g)(i) of the Act as 
the information requested is not held by the Ministry and there are no grounds for believing 
connected more closely with the functions with another agency subject to the Act. 
Information concerning efficacy of the Pfizer (Comirnaty) is publicly available, and can be found 
from page 15 onwards of the datasheet at:
