Thank you for your email dated 10 June 2025 to Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City
Council (the Council) requesting the fol owing information:

all copies of active resource consents for the activity of mining in Wellington area.
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA). As per our communication you refined request on 16 June
2025 for the Council exclude quarries/businesses.
The Council has no active resource consent for mining on residential land. The Council has
never dealt with any resource consent on residential land for mining. Your request for copies
of resource consents has been refused under section 17(g)(i) that the information requested
is not held by the local authority and the person dealing with the request has no grounds for
believing that the information is either held by another local authority or department or
Minister of the Crown or Organisation.
