Request for Official Information: Woodbourne Base 
I  refer  to  your  correspondence  of  10  June  2025  requesting  the  following  under  the  Official 
Information Act 1982 (OIA):  
I understand the Crown resolved Treaty Settlement redress rights at Woodbourne 
Base (media reports last year regarding a "payment" of funds). 
Please  provide  a  copy  of  any  briefings  to  Ministers  regarding  this  matter  from 
1  January 2021 to the present day. 
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working 
days after the day we received your request, which in this case is 9 July. Unfortunately, it has not 
been possible to meet that time limit and I am therefore writing to notify you of an extension to 
the time for us to make our decision under section 15A of the OIA, to 5 August.  
This  extension  is  necessary  because  the  consultations  necessary  to  make  a  decision  on  your 
request  are  such that a proper response cannot reasonably be  made  within  the original time 
limit. 
You  have  the  right  to  seek  an  investigation  and  review  by  the  Ombudsman  of  this  decision.
