Official Information Act request relating to DPMC Correspondence with Transpower
regarding COVID-19
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 9 June 2025.
You requested:
“all correspondence between the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet
(DPMC) and Transpower NZ Ltd (including, but not limited to, communications with the
Chief Executive, GM People, General Counsel & Company Secretary, Head of Health
and Safety, and Senior Principal Engineer) involving any and all matters pertaining to
or associated with the subject of COVID-19 during the period from 1 January 2021 to
30 June 2022.”
I can advise that the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet has carried out a search
of its electronic databases for information relevant to your request. No correspondence has
been identified as within scope of your request and, as such, your request is refused under
section 18(e) of the Act as the requested information does not exist or, despite reasonable
efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
