Thank you for your request of 31 May 2025, to Fire and Emergency New Zealand requesting 
information relating to our organisational charts and salary bands. Your request has been 
considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
1.  I would like to request the organisational charts for any team, group, district or region 
across the motu and FENZ that has Specialist Investigators and Inspectors appointed under 
s166 of the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017. (I am not requesting individuals 
names, just titles, who the position reports to, and who their direct reports are). 
 
Please find attached, as Figure 1 in the attached Appendix to this response, a table detailing the 
list of job titles and personnel counts as of 4 June 2025 that are specialist investigators and 
inspectors appointed under s166 of the Fire and Emergency New Zealand Act 2017, along with 
their reporting manager position, region, and district. 
 
2.  I would also like to request a list of the titles for manager positions within FENZ, leadership 
tier and the salary band (please include the salary bands) there is no need to include Group 
or District Managers as this information is publicly available. 
 
Please find attached, as Figure 2 in the Appendix to this response, a table detailing a list of 
manager roles, their leadership tier, and salary range from 90% - 100%. Please note, we do not 
maintain a salary band or remuneration range for the role of Chief Executive, as the salary is set by 
the Board. Information regarding remuneration of our Chief Executive is publicly available on the 
Public Service Commission website, here.
