Official information request for a copy of the Building Biological Assessment for the Westland District 
Council Office at 36 Weld Street, Hokitika 
I  refer  to  your  official  information  request  dated  30  May  2025  for  a  copy  of  the  Building  Biological 
Assessment for the Westland District Council office at 36 Weld St by K2 Environmental in November 2023. 
We  are  refusing  your  request  for  a  copy  of  the  Building  Biological  Assessment  under  the  following 
sections: 
 7(2)(h)  of  LGOIMA  to  enable  any  local  authority  holding  the  information  to  carry  out,  without 
prejudice or disadvantage, commercial activities.   
 7(2)(i) of LGOIMA to enable any local authority holding the information to carry on, without prejudice 
or disadvantage, negotiations (including commercial and industrial negotiations). 
 7(2)(b)(ii) of LGOIMA to protect information where the making available of the information — would 
be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who supplied or who is the 
subject of the information. 
There will be no charge in supplying this information to you. 
Council has adopted a Proactive Release Policy and accordingly may publish LGOIMA responses on the 
Council Website at https://www.westlanddc.govt.nz/lgoima-responses.  The col ection and use of personal 
information by the Westland District Council is regulated by the Privacy Act 2020. Westland District Council's
