Thank you for your email of 31 August 2015 received by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise 
(NZTE) concerning an Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request. You requested the 
following information: 
 
  Can you please advise of the scope, nature and extent of involvement of NZTE as a 
supporting sponsor and participant of the 2015 NZ Defence Industry Association 
Annual conference. This includes all financial, technical, administrative, marketing, 
personnel or any other support or involvement of NZTE. 
 
NZTE is providing the following assistance to the NZ Defence Industry Association (NZDIA) 
2015 forum: 
 
  Sponsoring a morning tea on Wednesday 18 November (with an approximate cost of 
$3000) 
 
  Supporting a Master Class on ‘Engaging Effectively with the NZ Defence Force’.  This 
will involve basic tips on how companies should prepare themselves, build customer 
relationships, and engage and bid for supply opportunities. 
 
The segment listed in the NZDIA 2015 forum programme ‘NZ Industry Innovation Success 
Stories’ that was to have been delivered by NZTE staff has been removed since the original 
programme was published.   
 
This response fully covers the material you requested.  You have the right under section 28(3)
