Thank you for your email of 28 May 2025 requesting: 
 “Can  you  please  confirm  that  this  year  (  2025)  the  Health    and    Disability 
Commissioner’s  office  was  investigated  by  the  Employment  Relations 
Authority. Please advise on the outcome. 
Furthermore 
(i) Was HDC represented in the proceedings and if so the total cost for this 
representation. 
(ii) Was the matter settled and if so the total amount of this settlement.” 
We have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982. 
HDC attended a hearing called by the Employment Relations Authority in relation to 
an employment relations matter. HDC was represented. The total cost was $27,356.54 
inclusive of GST. 
Refusal of aspect of request 
The matter is not settled yet. We await the ERA decision. Therefore, we refuse your 
request  for  the  settlement  amount  pursuant  to  section  18(e)  of  the  Official 
Information Act as the document alleged to contain the information requested does 
not exist. 
You may seek a review of this decision from the Office of the Ombudsman.
