Government Affairs, or other related Apple entities or representatives):

Department of Internal Affairs and any representatives of Apple Inc. from 1 January
2018 to the present. Please include:

Briefings and Internal Documentation: Any internal briefings, reports, or policy

On 5 June 2025, you were advised that the current wording of your request may be refused
under section 18(f) of the Act, as the information requested cannot be made available
without substantial collation or research. We invited you to narrow the scope of your
request, as it covers eight years of information across three work areas within the
Department.
On 17 June 2025, we followed up after not receiving a response to our 5 June 2025 request
for you to narrow the scope of your request.
Response to your request
As we have not had a response from you, your request must be refused under 18(f) of the
Act, as the information requested cannot be made available without substantial collation or
research.
Under section 12(2) of the Act, official information requested shal be specified with due
particularity in the request. ‘Due particularity’ means a request has enough detail to enable
an agency to identify the information requested. In this case, we have attempted to seek the
topic of your request, however, your request does not appear to have due particularity.
I would welcome you to make a new request under the Act with more clarity on what it is
that you are seeking.
