Thank you for your request of 28 April 2025, asking for the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Please provide details of the number of PRP (Plasma Rich Platelet) injections funded by ACC 
between April 2020 and April 2025 
 
Our response 
As ACC does not have specific service codes for Plasma Rich Platelet (PRP) injections, we ran a search 
for related keywords in our payment records. 
 
We searched a combination of keywords including Plasma and Platelet, under invoice comments, 
invoice advice comments, purchase order comments, and purchase order reason notes for payments. 
We searched under the service codes CT Guided Injection/Aspiration, Hi Tech Imaging: Ultrasound 
Guided Injection, and Injection of steroid &/or LA in joint under imaging. We found no records of any 
PRP injections. 
 
While our search did not find any payment records, ACC may still have funded PRP for some clients. 
Thus, this result should not be considered conclusive.
