I refer to your request for information dated Monday 21 April 2025, which was received by 
Greater Wellington Regional Council (Greater Wellington) on Wednesday 3 September 2025. 
Apologises for the delay. We encountered an issue with requests coming through to our Info 
mailbox, which has unfortunately affected our ability to respond in a timely manner. 
 You have requested the following: 
“What are you doing to help doctors here in Wellington, seems like more are leaving than staying 
” 
Greater Wellington’s response follows: 
Greater Wellington does not hold this information; therefore, we are refusing your request 
under section 17(g) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 that 
the information requested is not held by the local authority and the person dealing with the 
request has no grounds for believing that the information is either,  held by another local 
authority or a department or Minister of the Crown or organisation; or connected more closely 
with the functions of another local authority, or a  department or Minister of the Crown or 
organisation.
