Official information request regarding venue revenue 
 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) 
dated 16 April 2025: 
 
1. 
“The total annual revenue generated from the hire of University venues (Ngā 
whare tapere) for the last ten financial years, broken down by year. 
2. 
A breakdown of this revenue by venue category/location (e.g. lecture 
theatres, seminar rooms, Memorial Theatre, foyers and mezzanines). 
3. 
The number of bookings made for each venue type over the same time 
period.” 
 
 
The table below contains the total revenue recorded under the ‘Venue Hire’ ledger code 
for 2022-2024.
