Thank you for your request to the Department of Conservation (DOC), received on 11 April 
2025, in which you asked for: 
 
On 27 January 2021 I asked for all expenditure on ungulate pest control for Wainuiomata 
Scenic Reserve Section 106 Wainuiomata District for the previous ten years. I also asked for a 
breakdown of all hunting permits issued for the same area. 
Please provide the same information for the period from January 2021 to the present. 
 
We have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA). 
Your question and our response is listed below: 
 
1.  All expenditure on ungulate pest control for Wainuiomata Scenic Reserve Section 106 
Wainuiomata District for the period from January 2021 to the present. 
  
No ungulate control has been completed, and two hunting permits have been issued 
at Wainuiomata Scenic Reserve since January 2021.
