Thank you for your Official Information Act (Act) request received by the Department of Internal 
Affairs (Department) on 9 April 2025.      
You requested – 
Grants awarded in the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 financial years through COGS, Lottery 
Community, or other DIA-managed funds, to Canterbury-based organisations providing: 
•  Food security services (e.g. foodbanks, food rescue) 
•  Housing support 
•  Cost-of-living or welfare-related community services

Appendix B – ‘Lottery Community Canterbury / Kaikoura’ 
These are grants allocated which benefit the Canterbury area. For the purposes of this request, 
grants which only benefit Kaikoura have been excluded from this information. 
 
Appendix C – ‘Community Organisation Grants Scheme for Social Services in Canterbury’ 
This is a copy of the grants from the Community Organisations Grants Schemes (COGS) for the
