Our response
We understand that you are referring to peer reviews of Impairment Assessments and Lump Sum
assessments.
A peer review is not a legislative requirement, but Treatment and Support Assessors may consider it
appropriate if a second opinion is necessary.
The following documents, attached in the appendix, outline the peer review process and relevant
criteria for assessors to undertake such reviews:
