Thank you for your email of 7 April 2025. Your request for information has been considered 
under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
On 6 June 2025, I advised you that I had decided to grant your request and that the 
documents were being prepared for release. I apologise for the length of time it has taken to 
send you the documents.  
You requested: 
Please provide any correspondence (for you or your office) received from, or sent to, 
baby formula companies, their representatives, or formula industry lobbyists during 
the time you have been Minister for Food Safety.  
Please find attached the documents you have requested in Appendix One and Appendix 
Two. 
Some information has been withheld pursuant of sections 9(2)(a), 9(2)(b)(ii), and 9(2)(ba). 
In addition, my office received one email from Blackland PR, on behalf of Danone, entitled 
Danone NZ Operation Financials, that is commercially sensitive. I have withheld the email in 
full under 9(2)(b)(i ). 
I am satisfied that, in the circumstances of this case, the withholding of the information is not 
outweighed by other considerations which render it desirable in the public interest to make 
the information available.
