OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST FOR A COPY OF OUR CURRENT COLLECTIVE 
EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. 
I refer to your official information request dated 4 April 2025 requesting a copy of our current 
Collective Employment Agreement. 
We have decided to refuse your request under section 7(2)(i) of the Local Government Official 
Information and Meetings Act 1987. Section 7(2)(i) is to enable any local authority holding the 
information to carry on, without prejudice or disadvantage, negotiations (including commercial 
and industrial negotiations). We have considered the public interest and determined that there 
are other legislative processes in place during Collective Bargaining, such as those in the 
Employment Relations Act 2000. Collective Bargaining is anticipated to conclude in July 2025. 
We also refuse the request under section 7(2)(a) of the Local Government Official Information 
and Meetings Act 1987, to protect the privacy of natural persons, including that of deceased 
natural persons.  
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response.
