Official Information Request – COVID 19 Data 
I refer to your Official Information Act request received by ESR on Thursday 27 March 2025 for the 
following information: 
“The CEO gave an interview yesterday about diseases and pandemics on NZ television. Would Mr 
Bloomfield please share his information on the fatality rate or the infection fatality rate for the Covid 
19 disease. 
I am requesting the information on the rate of number of people infected versus the deaths for this 
disease.”
