Te Kaunihera o Pōneke | Wellington City Council (the Council) received a request from Wellington 
Water Limited (WWL) on 7 April 2025 requesting a partial transfer of a request originally transferred to 
them on 25 March 2023: 
 
a. The reporting either by or relating to Wellington Water Limited as held by the Council. 
d. The current Wellington City Council contract with the Wellington Water Limited.  
Your request has been considered under the Local Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 
1987 (LGOIMA).  
 
Please find attached, as Appendix 01 to my response, a table documenting the documents being 
released to you and a table providing links to reports that are publicly available on our website. 
 
Some information from the Fifth Variation Agreement in Respect of Agreement for Provision of 
Management Services Relating to Water Services has been withheld pursuant to section 7(2)(f)(i ) of 
the LGOIMA, to maintain the effective conduct of public affairs through the protect of such member, 
officers, employees, and persons from improper pressure or harassment. 
 
As per section 7(1) of the LGOIMA, I do not consider that in the circumstances of this response, the 
withholding of this information is outweighed by the other considerations which render it desirable to 
in the public interest to make the information available.  
 
You have the right, by way of complaint under section 28(1) of the LGOIMA, to request an 
investigation and review of the Council’s decision to withhold information by the Ombudsman.
