Thank you for your email received
26 February 2025 requesting the following
information:
1. What is the amount of money the Kapiti District Council is paying
sustainable coastlines for each beach audit in the region?
Sustainable Coastlines are required to deliver 32 surveys at a total cost of
$43,269.57, which equates to $1,352.17 per audit survey.
2. How many audit sites are required to have data collected and what is the
total amount of audits required for the year
There are 7 coastal and 1 stream sites that are surveyed each quarter with a
total 32 surveys annually.
3. Are sustainable coastlines being paid additional funds to carry out beach
clean ups in the area?
No.
4. If so how much and how many beach clean ups for 2025?

The data collected is in line with Litter intelligence Quality Assurance and
