Re: Ownership of 106 Cook Street 
 
I refer to your email, which we received on 5 August 2015, requesting information about the 
ownership of 106 Cook Street. 
 
I can confirm that Auckland Council is the owner of 106 Cook Street. This property has not 
been divested and Auckland Council remains the owner of this property.  
 
Auckland Council Property Limited (ACPL) is responsible for any divestment of Council 
properties. Potential surplus properties are submitted to Council for approval to sell only after 
a comprehensive stakeholder engagement process. Once properties are approved for sale, 
ACPL seeks to maximise the sales receipts whilst maintaining a perspective on Council’s 
Auckland Plan objectives.
