Thank you for your email on 11 November 2025, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for 
the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the OIA):  
yes it is it the occupancy rate for the Pathways respite facility in Tauranga (monthly if 
possible)  
Response 
For the current financial year to September (July to September 2025), the average occupancy rate 
for the Pathways respite facility in Tauranga has been 65 percent. For the previous financial year 
(July 2024 to June 2025), the average occupancy rate was 63 percent.  
I have attached a table showing the monthly occupancy rate for the Pathways respite facility in 
Tauranga.  As the facility has a capacity of four beds, care should be taken when comparing 
occupancy rates between months. The table can be found in Appendix 1.
