Officials Committee on Constitutional Reform 1985 – 1986
I refer to your Official Information Act (the Act) requests of 11 February 2025 for:
a digital copy of the document in your possession named: "Officials Committee on
Constitutional Reform 1985 - 1986", and
a copy of the Constitution Act 1986 actual document. The document that includes the
relevant signatures such as the clerk of the house and the Governor General. And for
a copy of the original cover sheet of all acts that were assented on that day.
In response to your first request, for the
Officials Committee on Constitutional Reform 1985 –
1986, please find attached a copy of the report.
In response to your second request,
for a copy of the Constitution Act 1986 actual
document. The document that includes the relevant signatures such as the clerk of the
house and the Governor General. And for a copy of the original cover sheet of all acts that
were assented on that day, this is refused pursuant to section 18(g) as the information
requested is not held by the Ministry of Justice, nor by any other agency that is subject to the
Act.
The Clerk of the House holds the document, however as the Clerk is not subject to the Act
the Ministry cannot transfer your request.
