Response
We can advise that the stationary costs for RBNZ from 1 January 2024 to December 2024 is
$66,852.37.
As of 10 February 2025, RBNZ had 650 active ful -time employees. For clarity, “ful -time” refers to
any employee working 30 hours or more, and “active” refers to al employee, permanent and
fixed-term, but not including those on leave of absence.

RBNZ staf have the option to purchase up to 3 weeks of leave per annum, which is in addition to
their leave entitlements. We can advise that the number of employees who purchased extra leave
was 99 as at 31 December 2023, and 108 as at 31 December 2024.
RBNZ supports flexible working, and this is reflected in our hybrid way of working (i.e. a mix of
working from home, and in the of ice). Informal working arrangements are not record due to their
frequently changing nature. However, RBNZ does have staf who work remotely ful y, and they
would have to formal y apply to do this. We can advise that one RBNZ staf applied to work
remotely ful y in 2023. In 2024, five RBNZ staf applied to work remotely fully. No applications to
work remotely ful y were denied in 2023 and 2024.
Most RBNZ staf work at least one day from home each week. On average, 70 percent of our
workforce worked from home more than one day per week. For clarity, “workforce” includes al
workers, contractors, and board members. Please note that the attendance percentage has
inherent limitations due to the fol owing factors not being accounted for, which may prompt
remote work and reduce in-of ice days:
• employees' annual and wel ness leave days;
• board members, and remote workers;
• workers with variable schedules working fewer than five days a week; and
• unforeseen events (such as natural disasters, and public transport disruptions).
