Agenda item 3: Update on conflict of interest
Agenda item 4: Information sharing
Priority area where are we? Strategy has been signed off by the minister so we can work on anything
within that plus some additional things mentioned in the letter.
Agenda item 5: Hazadous waste
Other waste that can become hazardous once in the landfill as it is breaking down/cross contamination
with other products. Several different ways waste can become hazardous. Lack of data, tracking. Waiting
for data information from Mfe. Range of materials that don’t go through treatment e.g. stuff that ends
up in wheelie bins from sheds. Track and trace ideal and options for household waste e.g. education,
hazardous waste drop off points or product bans.
All waste that ends up in landfills can potentially become hazardous.
Worth raising that the legislation

What is trying to achieve with the reporting requirements and is it achieving what is required?
Agenda item 7: Recent letter from the Minister about levy changes
Concerns about diluting funds to spend on waste. Signaling concern that waste issues may end up
exasperated.
Infrastructure deficit – the board hopes that money wil stil be spent on driving change
