Official Information request – University GSSRs
I refer to your request for official information of 3 February 2025 in which you have requested the
following information:
For each of the departments and divisions listed please list all successful GSSRs for 2023 and 2024. Please do
this by listing the salary level and the amount of compensation received for each individual successful GSSR.
For each of the departments and divisions listed please list all unsuccessful GSSRs for 2023 and 2024. Please
do this by listing the salary level for each unsuccessful GSSR.
Under the Official Information Act 1982 (Act) the University of Waikato (University) has considered
your request and responds as follows.
Tables 1 and 2 on the following pages provide a breakdown of all successful and unsuccessful GSSRs
for 2023 and 2024. Note that some numbers have been aggregated to protect the privacy of
individuals pursuant to section 9(2)(a) of the Act. Table 3 outlines the salary levels for Professional
Staff. Your request for each individual salary level and amount of each increase received is refused
pursuant to section 9(2)(a) of the Act to protect the privacy of the individuals.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
