information relating to compressed air foam systems (CAFS). Your request has been considered 
under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) and our response is below.  
 
1.  Do FENZ currently have any plans produce appliances with CAFS capabilities? 
 
2.  If so please provide details on the type of appliance these maybe fitted to and when? 
 
3.  Or, if not, any reason why CAFS has not been reintroduced to recent builds? 
 
Fire and Emergency do not have any plans to produce appliances with CAFS capabilities because 
CAFS capability is not a current operational priority.
