Thank you for your request of 25 January 2025, to Fire and Emergency New Zealand for the 
following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA): 
 
•  I would like to obtain all the locations of UHF and VHF FENZ Radio cel  tower locations in 
Northland, Auckland and Hamilton Regions.  And if possible, the coverage zones/areas that 
the tower covers. And the frequency of each tower if applicable. 
 
On 25 January 2025, you advised you are refining your request of the UHF and VHF Cell Tower 
locations to include Northland - Whangarei District, Kaipara District, Far North District Auckland - 
Whole of Auckland Hamilton - Hamilton Central Area, (Not including Waikato Rural). 
 
We have interpreted this to be a request for the locations of the radio repeater towers (UHF and 
VHF), which relates to a network managed and owned by New Zealand Police. 
 
For this reason, we  have transferred your request to New Zealand Police as the information to 
which your request relates is believed to be more closely connected with the functions of Police. In 
these circumstances, we are required by section 14 of the OIA to transfer your request.
