Reporter Comments
Phoenix Recycling Takanini.
Large pile of metal scrap including car parts well involved upon arrival. Contained
to 2 areas approx. 10m x 10m each. Damage to stacked containers.
Tactics included deck monitor and transitioned to aerial attack in conjunction with
onsite machinery used to infiltrate the pile.
It is undetermined but ;likely a battery had caused ignition despite stringent
processes in place.
