The engagement we undertake the week of 27 November marks the beginning of a long-term conversaon
between our at-risk communies and BDC. We have very challenging conversaons and decisions to come, and
it’s important we build trust and confidence across our communies.
Addionally, because climate and natural hazards are high-stakes and triggering for much of the Bul er
community (and receive significant local media atenon) we also need to align:
Key quesons/issues to explore:
1. Engagement ming. WCRC have pushed back one week. Our team brought forward by 2 weeks. Our
original ming (11 Dec) was determined so that BDC would only have one engagement going on at a
me (currently pre LTP). 27th Nov or 11 Dec are our teams two windows. What are the melines
WCRC are working to? What’s going to work best for all, and for the community?
2. What’s the format for the engagement, and what material wil be involved?
3. How wil it be adversed?
4. What does the WCRC informaon mean for the community?
5. Are there further engagement sessions planned in 2024 in relaon to natural
hazards/climate: where/on what?
6. Do we (Tom) have the updated hazard layers they are using for the TToP variaon?
