Information regarding how final grades are calculated for this course is available on the
course web page at
https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/courses/comp/102/2024/offering?crn=28225. Note, in cases
where a student achieves a better result in Test 2 than they did in Test 1, their Test 2
results may replace their Test 1 results in the calculation of their final grade.
The mapping from overall percentages to grades is performed by applying the standard
VUW grade ranges. Information on VUW grade ranges is available at
https://www.wgtn.ac.nz/students/study/progress/grades.
In some cases, students may be awarded a better grade than their percentage nominally
indicates due to adjustments of grade boundaries during the final grades auditing.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of the
decisions made regarding this request. Information about how to make a complaint is
available
at www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or freephone 0800 802 602.
If you wish to discuss this decision with us, please feel free to contact me at
[VUW request email].
