Official information request for letters from China Scholarship Council 
 
I refer to your request for information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) 
dated 6 January 2025: 
 
“I am writing to request a copy of any letters to the Vice Chancellor of the 
University from China Scholarship Council (CSC) received in 2024. I would also 
like to request the Vice Chancellor's response to any such letters.” 
 
The University has been unable to locate any correspondence between the Vice 
Chancellor and the China Scholarship Council in 2024. Therefore, your request is refused 
in accordance with s(18)(e) of the Act as the information requested does not exist or, 
despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found. 
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of the 
decisions made regarding this request. Information about how to make a complaint is
