I refer to your official information request dated 28 December 2024 regarding the intended widening of
West Coast Road (Auckland Council Designation 1454).
Designation 1454 is a rollover designation included in the Auckland Unitary Plan in late 2016/early 2017.
This Designation was previously known as WCCRW 13 under the Auckland Council District Plan – Waitakere
Section Plan. The designation applies to both sides of the Road and has a width of 2.6m from each side of
the legal road boundary.
The Designation has a lapse date of 15 years from being operative in the Unitary Plan. The lapse date for
this Designation is 11/04/2032. The specific information in relation to Designation 1454 can be found under
the Auckland Unitary Plan Operative in Part v

Currently there is no planned start date to carry out the works for this designation.
