Thank you for your Of icial Information Act request to the Department of Conservation, 
received on 20 December 2024 in which you asked for all the advice provided to Ministers or 
Departments on the process for the Concession decision for the Whakapapa Holdings 
application for Whakapapa Ski Field. 
 
This letter is to advise you that we are extending the 20 working day period to respond to 
your request, as allowed under section 15A(1) of the Official Information Act 1982. We 
require an additional 4 days to respond to your request. We wil  send you a response no later 
than 17 February 2025, earlier if possible. 
 
The extension of time is necessary as the consultations necessary to make a decision on the 
request mean that a proper response to the request cannot reasonably be made within the 
original time limit. 
 
You have the right, under section 28(3) of the Of icial Information Act to make a complaint to 
an Ombudsman about the extension.
