Thank you for your Official Information Act request, received on 17 December 2024. 
You requested:
Today (17/12/24), ACT Leader David Seymour said in a statement to press that 
the previous Labour Government published false financial accounts whilst in 
office.
Please provide evidence of findings that support this, if there is any.
The Treasury prepares and publishes information on the financial accounts of the 
Government as required by the Public Finance Act 1989 and I am advised that they do 
not hold any information in scope of your request. Accordingly, I have refused your
request under section 18(e) of the Official Information Act - the information requested 
does not exist or, despite reasonable efforts to locate it, cannot be found.
If you have further questions or concerns regarding the financial statements of the 
Government or the Economic and Fiscal Updates, please direct these to the Treasury
who are responsible for preparing these documents. 
This reply addresses the information you requested. You have the right to ask the 
Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision.
