OIA: 1341547 – Funding for Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L)
Thank you for your email of 16 December 2024 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry)
requesting the fol owing information:
1. Please provide me with the annual budget and expenditure for the Ministry’s Positive
Behaviour for Learning (PB4L) programme, as far back as records permit.
2. Please provide me with a further budget breakdown, outlining the annual budget and
expenditure for PB4L’s restorative practice programme, as far back as records permit.
We also acknowledge your email of 30 January 2025, where you refined your request for the
fol owing information:
1. Please provide me with the overal PB4L budget per annum, as I imagine that should be
relatively easy to ascertain.
2. In terms of the line items, I am interested specifical y in the restorative practice training
provision provided to schools. Could you please provide me with the amount spent on
school level RP training per year?
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
The Ministry needs to extend the timeframe for responding to your request, pursuant to section
15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit. You can now expect to
receive a response to your request on or before 5 March 2025, which is an extension of 20 working
days. Please note, this due date takes into account Waitangi Day, which fal s on 6 February 2025.
